time logging

Not sure if this is the right forum but....does anyone know how I might use
my PC to log the times at which a particular signal (pulse?) is generated by
an external unit. I expect 20 to 30 signals over a 30 hour period and would
like to have a record of the times (hrs:mins:secs) on the 24 hr clock at
which the signals were generated.
I'd appreciate any help.

Not without a lot more information about what you want to do and what the
"pulse" will be.
