Time Issue

Jon

I have had several users in my network logging in to find their system
time is 7-8 minutes ahead of real time. I have a Win2K3 AD, Root/Child
domain structure with the ROOT1 server set as the time server for the
network. The people that experience this are random but the time difference
is always the same - 7-8 minutes. Where would the 7-8 minute discrepancy
come from? The root server sync's up with the atomic clock and has the
correct time on it. W/S's are XP Pro SP2.

Any pointers would be really appreciated and thanks -
Jon

May be you could put an sniffer in one of those clients to see what's going
on, may be you catch some ntp traffic from these clients to another ntp
server. Although if the problem is a random one, it will be dificult to
determine.

Hope your problem solves.
