Time error

My system time is about five minutes out, so I tried updating the internet
time and the following error was shown: "An error occured while Windows was
syncronizing with time.windows.com." The time is still wrong, can anyone
help? Thanks.

sometimes time drift can be a battery going bad. Afa the rror trying to sync
up w/Inet time. That sounds like a spyware or AntiVrius prog. blocking your
update. Check those out and see what happens. Good luck...

No, this is at best very misleading.

Before anyone whose clock is running slow rushes out to buy a new battery,
he should first take note of whether he is losing time while the computer is
running or while it's powered off. If it's while powered off, the problem
*is* very likely the battery. But if it's while running, it can *not* be the
battery, because the battery isn't used while the computer is running.

Highly unlikely. The first thing to try is simply switching to another time
server.
