Time between pictures and timimg of video transitions

I can't get the time between pictures to be what I want. I go to TOOLS,
OPTIONS, ADVANCED and change to what i want and then click OK but it always
stays at about 4 seconds per pick and one second per transition. WAY TOO
FAST. Is there a glitch in the program? It's the same whether we use the
laptop or our desktop. HELP!

Duration has to be set "before" the
files are placed on the Timeline.

However...you might try using the
"Slow Down Half" and/or "Speed
Up Double" Effects.

You can click on the photo and then drag it to make it longer or shorter, not
sure if that works with the transitions though.
