Try this:

-Open a folder with subfolder that contains at least one file.
-Double clic any subfolder to display its contents and set view to
"thumbnails", go up to main folder
-Single clic the same last subfolder and then keep SHIFT while double
clic the subfolder to "explore" this subfolder in a new window
-The new subfolder displays unnamed thumbnails, just boxes

Anyone knows how to fix this?, any registry change?

Thanks

Do the same thing again and the file names should come back.

Thanks for the advice, but sometimes randombly the thumbnails appear
without names (specially in My Music and My Docs folders), these steps
are a sequence I found, but I think there is many more like this that
generates this problem.

This is actually a feature in XP, that's causing the problem for you.

"To turn off filenames, hold down the Shift key when you click to open a
folder in Windows Explorer or when you switch into thumbnail view. This will
turn of the file names, giving more space for the thumbnails. Doing it again
turns them back on.

Or simply right-click on the sub-folder you want to explore, and choose
"explore".

It is a function.

This is a Microsoft tip...
Hold down the shift key when switching to thumbnail view to hide the file
names. Do it again to bring them back.
