Thumbnail pictures in Windows Vista

I have a Dell Windows Vista Home Premium with Inspiron 530. Up until last
week I had no problems but now the thumbnail pictures in both the Picture
and the HP Photo pages only show the generic picture. When I go to Preview I
get the correct picture, however, any deleted thumbnail pictures also only
show the generic picture. Any advice on how to reactivate the thumbnail
pictures?

I have VISTA Home Premimum, in Windows Explorer all of my picture files
display the same photo!! When I click on a pic file it displays the correct
photo. However In Windows Explorer in the directory the photo files display
the same picture for all photo files! What is the problem???

Did a virus cause this problem???

How do I correct this problem???

In Windows Explorer, I want each and every photo file to display each and
every file for what it is, not one generic photo for all photo files!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me!!!
