thumbnail manipulation

I copied 3 photos from a memory card into a file, but I
really only created shortcuts to that memory card.
I can see the 3 photos on the thumbnail of that
directory, but when I go inside only the links to the
memory card are there. I have reused the memory card, so
the photos are gone. Is there a way to grab the
thumbnail image so I can get the photos?

Try using "Alt-PrintScreen" to grab a screen shot when they are displayed,
then go into Paint or other graphics program and Paste from the clipboard.
Now you can manipulate the images and save each one in it's own file (easy
way to resize is to outline and copy the pic you want, then choose Image,
Attributes from the menu and change the size to 1 pixel by 1 pixel. Then
paste and it will auto-resize to the image pasted. Might be easier with two
Paint sessions going.

The limitation is that the image will only be the size it was when you
grabbed it.
