I have tried everything I can find to fix the view and previewing of
thumbnails, including the one I found on Ramesh's site below. Still no joy.
Still seeing the generic picture icon and the right click preview does not
work. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. I am running WinXP-Pro
SP2.
Thanks in advance,
Ray
When you change a pictures folder to thumbnail view, thumbnail images may
not be generated and generic picture icon may show-up. Also, the Common
Tasks image preview may not work when the folder is in any other view.
This happens if the GDI+ thumbnail extractor key, which comes with XP by
default, is missing in the registry. To regenerate the image thumbnail
extractor handler, type the following command in the Start, Run dialog:
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
