Thumb Drive

I have a 128MB PNY Attache thumb drive and a Win XP Pro
desktop. I used the drive last night, unplugged it as
normal and this morning, doesn't work. Windows says it
doesn't recognize it and there is no driver for it. But
the for the thumb drive is built into Windows XP. The
drive doesn't show up under Explorer. What can I do now?

I have had this happen several times on client computers.
Don't know why it happens but it does. I have gone into
the Hardware Device manager and deleted all of the USB
entries under Universal serial bus Controlers, then went
to Control Panel and selected Add Hardware. This
installed the USB devices and all works fine again.
