Three Desktops side by side and MS wireless keyboards/mice problems

I have three desktops placed side by side and all are using MS'
wireless keyboards and mice. The two are using MS Wireless Comfort
Keyboard 1.0A (Model: 1027) with MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000
(Model:1052) and one is using MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A
(Model:WUR0446).

The problem is that whenever two computers are being used, one
keyboard/mouse set will be lagging or be non responsive for a few
seconds.

When all three are being used, it's usually two kb/mouse sets that
display the same problem.

We make sure to reset the connect by using the connect buttons on both
the kb and the mouse, but doesn't help at all. Anybody have any
suggestions or tips in preventing this type of problem from happening?

Likely the comms between them are conflicting, but do sort themselves out eventually.

I personally have just one mouse and keyboard and use Synergy
to allow that to work on all the desktops. You just move the mouse
cursor to the desktop you want to use and carry on regardless.

Works very well indeed.

Put the receiver on the side of the case opposite the
adjacent desk and stagger systems so the one in the middle
is using the *other* frequency, 27MHz vs 2.4GHz. Whichever
your present sets are using (I don't know which but Google
should find it), you'll need a new set on the other
frequency for the middle desk. Before getting another set
I'd first try as mentioned first, put both end desk
receivers next to the far side of the respective system
case. The idea being that the metal blocks a large
percentage of the more direct or single-bounce signals but
might still be nearly line-of-sight to it's own mouse &
keyboard.

Do you really need wireless keyboards? Wired keyboards are
pretty cheap and over a couple years of batteries may pay
for themselves.
