Well, do you have the latest version of Direct X installed? And do you have
the proper drivers installed for your video card?

Hi,

Please give us the exact type of stop you encounter, for example stop
0x0000000A. This will help us to understand why there is a blue screen.

Regarding your problem description you may have a problem with the graphic
driver. Even if you use the good one you should check on the manufacturer
website to download an install the last version.

Here are some generic troubleshooting steps for game playing:

1) Be sure you have a fast processor with plenty of RAM - at least 256MB
but 512MB is better. 2)Test the RAM with Memtest86 if your computer is
randomly freezing. 3)Be sure you have updated video drivers and that
your video card is adequate for 3D gameplay. 4) Be sure you have
applied the latest patches for the game - get them from the game's
website or a place like FilePlanet. 5) If you continue to have problems
with one specific game (as opposed to all games), see if there are user
forums where you can post for help. 6) When you play a
processor-intensive game, don't have other applications running in the
background - keep extraneous programs/services to a minimum.

Also, don't forget to keep your computer clean by regular scanning with
a current antivirus program, remove spyware, and delete temporary and
Temporary Internet Files.

Hi,

This kind of error could appear due to:
- out of date video or sound driver
- out of date directX
- hardware issue (graphic card, RAM)
- a system overheating. Maybe due to overclocking.
Strategically place a fan over the graphic accelarator and CPU could be the
solution.

I know that you have checked the first two points. Maybe your system is
overheating or you have an hardware issue.

I hope that it helps.

Anytime I have ever encountered this kind of error, it has resulted from
applications/drivers conflicting with each other. Does this error message
you get have any info in the title bar? With these kinds of errors, the
title bar usually lists the application that is either causing the prob or
the application which is having the prob. To figure out what is wrong, I
usually have to uninstall 1 app at a time, reboot, and see if I can make the
error occur again until it stops occuring. If you wipe out your machine and
reload it freah, these 2 apps will most likely still conflict if they are
both put back on your machine. Sounds most likely a driver issue. Try
running DXdiag and look at the log files. Also make sure you have all of
the most up to date drivers that are XP WHQL certified. HTH & GL
