My computer has XP home, Zone Alarm Pro, Norton Anti-Virus and is
updated.

It is an ms disaster.

One at a time I have turned off each protection, including
uninstalling SP2, but when I go to sites where I want to download
files, I typically get the message,

"This object has been blocked"

There is something programed in the computer that thinks it is doing
me a big favor and protecting me, but I can't find it to turn it off!

Please help.

TIA

Phil

This has nothing to do with SP2. More likely either some spyware
blocker/privacy service/firewall etc. that you have installed, or your
Internet Explorer settings are not at the "default" under Tools/Internet
Options/Security and Advanced...OR... your ISP has you set to a child's
setting ???
