This is puzzling

In another post I noted that I couldn't update the database, that I got a
message that "this product is already installed". I got by this by
restoring the user's computer to the point before the runtime installation,
then reinstalled with the runtime.

Here is an new problem. In the wizard setup, I am pointing to my
development database .accdb. I date my databases with a label on the
screen, so I can Identify the version. Yesterday the version was 1-8-08,
yet the database version that was being installed was 1-3-08. I tried
reinstalling several times, clearing any previous copies from my hard drive
and reconfiguring the wizard, rather than using the saved template. I even
deleted all saved templates. No matter what I did, I could not install my
current version.

Here is another puzzle. The installation folder was called, C:\ATLoads.
The installer created three folders, C:\ATLoads, C:\AtLoads(1), and
C:\ATLoads(2).

C:\ATLoads(2) had an .accedr database dated 1-3-08.

C:\ATLoads(1) had an .accedr database dated 1-3-08.

C:\ATLoads had an .accedr database dated 1-3-08, also an .accedr database
dated 1-8-08

When I opened the database dated 1-8-08. it was the old version.

If you don't understand this, it is becuase it is bizarre. So my question
again, is whether anyone else is having issues installing the runtime and
database package. It would be nice to be able to use this, but it is
impossible right now.

Thank you and God Bless,

I may not be able to help you with the problem that you face. Nevertheless, I
can tell that there are 2 things wrong with the post.

1. It uses an un appropriate subject. Your subject should be brief text that
describes the problem to another, in a way that makes sense to the reader.

2. After reading through your problem, I can see that it does not fit to the
sub in which you are in. Place your query in the nearest group to get an
answer.

I think I meant to post this off of another thread rather than beginning a
new one. Regardless, whether it is from the Forms group or another, usually
the same people will view the post.

I've decided that the runtime is not feasible to use and installed the full
version of Office 97. Also, my experience shows that the only way to use a
..accde database is to create it on the user machine. You can't create it on
one machine and copy it to another.
