Is there a viable third party desktop that can be used in place of
Explorer.exe. I am tired of Explorer using 99% of the CPU, Crashing,
Hanging . . . I work with large Folders of JPG images in Thumbnail
views to organize the JPG images. Explorer looses its array pointer
often, and when I rename something go get a cup of coffee while Explorer

does its thing. I have a P4 2.8 GH 533 Front Side Buss, and 2 Gigs of
DDR400 RAM.
Amy ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

To be honest, youd be better off fixing the problem with Explorer. The
replacements (there are many) won't be any better, and in fact, some use
more resources than Explorer.

Use Google and search for: explorer replacement shell

That will give you loads to browse through.

Ummm... Explorer.exe IS Windows. Like Steve said, you should try to fix
the problem. Most problems with Windows XP have simple solutions. Why
not tell us more about it?
