Ron

I have several word documents that I want to remove. I
have removed the text but can not get them ovt of my
list. What do I have to do to remove these from my
documents.

Ron,

If you are referring to the list of previously used
documents that appear in the File drop down menu, they will
be automatically replaced. It is a first-in first-out list
of fixed length.

But you can also remove them manually by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Hyphen and then
clicking on a filename. Use this shortcut with care, as it will delete any
menu entry you touch!
