they still haven't fixed the AC97 error !!

Have just completed an upgrade from 5600 to 5728 and I still cannot
understand why they have not fixed the soundcard problem. The problem being
that the driver they automatically install for the Realtek AC97 soundcard
keeps giving a pop up message to say its not designed for Vista.

Two things spring to mind here. If its not designed, then why are they
bundling it? And seeing as it works on Vista (apart from popup) why don't
they tweak the driver so it is not constantly giving that stupid message?

Apart from that, the upgrade went fine. Took quite a lng time (1hr 20
minutes) even though I don't have alot installed on here. I did lose all my
quicklaunch icons though. Thats the only thing that seems to be missing. I
got those back though.

The AC97 driver works with the integrated sound chip on my Asus A7N8X 2.0
Deluxe.

You may have to get drivers from the manufacturer of your computer or M/B
when they become available.

The driver works, its just that whenever I go to a place like control panel
I get a pop up to say my driver is not designed for Vista. :-/
