Thermal Event

My question is my PC shut itself down and when I rebooted
it I got the message "ALERT! your PC shutdown because of a
THERMAL EVENT". I checked my fans and both are working.
Has anyone had this problem and if so could you please
inform me on the results. Greatly appreciate it.

Don't forget the fan on the CPU, the video card,
etc. , not just the power supply fans...

Yeppers, even with the fans working you can overheat the
cpu.
When you say two fans, are these the case fans??? if so
you missed checking on the CPU fan.. most likely you have
some dust buildup that needs cleaning. open the case and
inspect your innards for dust bunnies! if necessary get a
soft brush vacuumn tool and gently clean it out!

most of the time, when you get this alarm, it's too late
your cpu is fried, I hope not in your case!
