Thermal adhesive use on 9800Pro RAM. OK or not?

What are your opinions about using copper heatsinks with thermal
adhesive for the memory chips on a 9800 Pro card. I am aware it might
be tough to get them off. The card runs hotter than a 9700Pro. In fact
a lot of knowledgable authorities agree the 9800Pro is basically an
overclocked 9700Pro. I am already using a Zalman heatpipe cooler with
two fans blowing directly at the card from the side (door window).

I hate adhesive heat sink compounds myself, there is greater risk of damage
if you ever have to fight an adhesive.

It's not "overclocked" it's clocked higher because it is designed that
way and it supports pixel shaders 2.1 and not just 2.0 like the
9700pro. I've also read that the 9700pro has problems on some
motherboards where the 9800pro doesn't. The 9800pro is a 'refined'
9700pro.

I believe some people mix thermal paste (non-adhesive) with the thermal
adhesive to weaken its adhesion in case they want to remove the heatsink
again. Haven't tried it myself.
