There is NO disc in the drive

I get this message even though I have a new disc in the drive E. I don't
know why. I purchased another brand of CD-RW today and still get this same
message. Help please.

I had this happen just the other day and it was a bad drive. Have you
tried a data cd in it? If it doesn't see that either then most likely
you need a new drive.
 
It works on audio, installations and other stuff. It worked just fine before
I used a new XP disc when I reformatted the computer and had lost the old XP
home disk in moving.
