The zoom option in Powerpoint 2007 should be a drop down aswell.

In Powerpoint 2007, the zoom button opens a simple dialog box allowing the
user to select the zoom via radio buttons. In the new Riboon style, the Zoom
button should also feature a drop down allowing the user to select four or
five of the most common zoom options without the need to open the dialog.
Live preview on these zoom options would also be useful.

Use the zoom slider in the lower right corner of your screen instead.
Much faster than the old way of doing things.

Or install the free PPTools Starter Set
See http://starterset.pptools.com

It works with Office 2007 and includes buttons for incremental zoom in, zoom out and zoom to fit.
