The window screen is to small

Hello, I have an old portable Dell computer with xp installed. When I today made a winupdate I saw that there where nivida drivers for the plasma screen. After I had downloaded it and rebooted my windows desktop has "shrunk" on all sides. Its much smaller. It has nothing to do with the resolution, I have tried them all. Do anybody know how to fix this or am I srewd

use system restore to go back to the old drivers.
don't ever install any drivers from msn, they are many
times out of date or not even for your hardware.
stick to the security updates.
