The volume of my narration and music onmy ppt pres. won't chang...

I am working on a power pt. pres. that will be copied to CD for viewing on
another computer. After much trial and error, have been able to add
background music to the presentation that will package to the CD. Now the
problem is the volume. The music overpowers the voice narration and I cannot
change the volume of the music or the narration using the Sound Settings Tab.
It will mute or nothing at all for both. I am using Office Student & Teacher
Edition2003 on a Windows XP operating system. Any help or suggestions would
be GREATLY appreciated, this is a time sensitive project!!

This needs to be handled outside of PPT, as it only plays what was provided.
You need to open the music in an audio editing application, lower its
overall volume, resave and reimport into PPT. There are several great
programs out there, if you need one quick try this shareware one:

PowerPoint just plays audio files "As Is". You'll need to edit the audio
outside of PowerPoint, using an audio editor. There are free or inexpensive
audio editors available like Audacity.

Hope the audio will still transfer to the CD--- took me forever to figure
that one out!! : - )
