At my house we have a home network consisting of one main computer physically
connected to our router and two laptop computers connected wirelessly. The
two laptops can see each other and exchange files back and forth. The main
computer will not allow any access to the laptops but it can access them.

When attempting to access the main computer the error I recieve is
"You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the rquested logon type at this
computer."

When checking the event log on the computers the main computer shows an
error audit with event id 534. The laptops however show a success audit of
event id 534. The complete text of the event log for each event are below.

Glad to help. We're getting somewhere, but we're not done.

Now, if the server is running XP Home, be aware of the limitations of XP Home,
Simple File Sharing, and Guest-only authentication. What folders give "access
denied"?
