the update loop is back

The new version 5757 update keeps repeating itself and it doesn't stick in
my MSAS program (newest .615).
We've experienced the same trouble in the past and I know there's a fix for
it: could anyone please post the files to download manually to stop the
loop?
Thank you.

What you can do, is to clean the temporary folders (usually C:\Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\temp and c:\Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 and
delete all the files in those directories and subdirectories). Then try to
perform the update again.

If it does not help, there is a manual update procedure. Follow these steps:

Right click on MSAS icon within systray and choose shutdown.

Right click and "Save target as..."

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Copy/paste these files to Program files/Microsoft Antispyware

Restart MSAS and "check for updates"

If the http:// does not work, try https:// instead..
