"The server could not complete your request" message

I using FP2002 to publish to a Unix server using FP extensions. I can
publish my website. My web has a main index page and then has 3 subwebs
which have unique permissions for a limited group of users with the correct
passwords.

Not much after I set the permissions on the subwebs and publish my site, I
seem to lose the ability to open my web for publishing.

I get the following message:

"The server could not complete your request. Contact your Internet service
provider or web server administrator to make sure that the server has the
FrontPage Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft
installed. For more specific information, click the "Details" button. "

Clicking on the "Details" button will display a "403 Forbidden" message. I
have found something online that indicates this occurs when running out of
web space, which is not the case.

I have tried uninstalling, installing, and reinstalling the FP extensions
and it still occurs.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm am puzzled...

Contact your host and have them remove the permissions, and then re-install or run a check on the
extensions from their end.

The host did reinstall the extensions on there end and I was able to publish
fine. I created my subwebs and created unique permissions (all through FP
only). I went through the hosts cpanel www.mydomain.com/cpanel and made a
backup right away. I go to bed and the next day I try to publish from FP2002
and I get the same error...

I found below on a similar issue in the newsgroup and did the following
without success...

Find and delete all FP Temp Files. By default, these reside in C:\Documents
and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\FrontPageTempDir

o Find and delete all hidden *.web files.

o Find and delete the cmdui.prf file.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Or can you assure me that you can use
FP2002 to publish to a Unix/Linnux host? Thanks for any input...
