hey all,
i want to apologize ahead of time for this but i've tried posting this
questing in the correct forum but no one will answer so please forgive me.

all i'm trying to do is map a drive to my new vista pc but it won't let me.
i can ping it fine. when i put in the correct login, it just keeps popping up
another login like it was incorrect ( and i'm pretty sure i'm typing in the
correct info) am i possible missing a config issue on the vista pc?

thanks,
rodchar

Hi,

As you well said this is not the correct NG for this, even not the "best"
incorrect NG :)

If you tried the Vista NG with no success I suggest you any other of the OS
related NGs

This is a programming NG after all :)

You need to post to a MS.Public.Windows.Vista NG like General or Setup.

You need to make sure that "File sharing" is enabled at the Vista side, you
can check this with control panel " Network And Sharing Center "
application, also check you Firewall configuration and watch the Eventlog.

Willy.

thank you for the help.
