My problem arose when i attempted a install of my drivers for my OLD HomePNA
network card. The Vista installer finds the hardware when inserted and goes
to the driver installer. I choose my CD with the drivers on it and it
appears to install, until and error pops up saying

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

The required line was not found in the INF.

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem or is it a lost cause? I would
much rather not have to go out and upgrade my network since i just spent alot
on a new PC.

Thanks for the help in advanced

I think you would save a lot of aggrevation if you would just upgrade to a
new network card and buy a router. I doubt an old PNA card would ever work.
You will not be able to install the old software.

Do you really need a driver for HomePNA adapter? Don't you just plug the
ethernet cable into it?
Anyway - if the "old" driver works in WinXP, the chances are it will work in Vista as well.
But don't try to install a win98 driver, it won't work.
