Hi, i'm not really sure what section to put this under,
so i'll put it here,

i am running Windows XP Home on my computer and am
sharing ADSL internet through it, i've never had any
problems with it, until a couple of days ago i started
getting problems with WMI, i couldn't get rid of the
problem, so i did a re-build. the machine was running for
appoximately 10 mins and then i got this error...

---------------------------------------------------------

The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated
unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following
corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds:
Reboot the machine.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

---------------------------------------------------------

I have never seen this error in Windows XP before and i
can't see anything in the knowledge Base.

does anyone have any idea's what this error message
means, and how to fix it?

Apparently, your computer has an unwelcome visitor (VIRUS) known
as the WM32 Blaster/Lovsan WORM. It only takes a split second for
this WORM to infect your computer if a firewall is not enabled and you
have an active internet connection.

It entered the computer through the internet connection because the "firewall"
was not properly enabled and essential critical updates were not installed from
the Windows Update website. For instructions on fixing the problem, visit:

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
This opens the Command Prompt window.

Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:
