The referenced account locked

Hi Good Pple,

I have a problem with a laptop running Windows XP Home, the laptop is on a
workgroup and failing to connect to mapped drives on the network! I am
getting this error "The referenced account is currently locked out and may
not be looged on to." even using administrator account! need help please!

What is more important here is the device that you are trying to
connect to. If it is an XP Home or an XP Pro with Simple Filesharing
enabled, then this could indicate that the Guest account is disabled on
the machine you are trying to connect to. If it is a Server or an XP
Pro with Simple Filesharing disabled, then it tries to log in with the
same account/credentials that you are using on your XP Home machine.
Make sure the same users and same corresponding passwords exist on both
machines and the account is enabled on the serving machine. "Locked
out" error messages unsually indicate that the wrong password was
provided and after so many failures, the account is locked-out (on the
serving end), usually for a period of time. An administrator on the
server machine can often reset this condition.
