The Red X problem

Every time I insert a picture gallery component and add
my pictures, it all looks fine in the normal mode. When
I preview it in the preview or browser mode my pictures
do no show up. I get outlines of the pictures with a
little red x in the corner. I had this happen with my
logo but I was able to fix it by opening the properties
and adding the file to the alternative res. section. I
can't seem to do this in the component mode. There must
be an easier way. Aby help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your web is open and import the images
into the web and then set up the gallery.
 
ok, I was on line and importing to my web. I still get
the red X. Does it have something to do with res? I am
running FP 2002 w/ windows xp. Please let me know.
