I have inserted video clips into a powerpoint presentation. It plays fine on
the laptop but when I try to use a projector all I get is a black window. I
have tried to change the video clips to different formats but the results are
the same. Is there a way I can do this?

Who made the lap top and what video chipset is it using and what OS /
PowerPoint versions?

Hey Austin,

I've found that 9 out of 10 times this is fixed by "shortening the path" as
you've documented on
http://www.playsforcertain.com/tuto...hite_screen_with_no_video_but_the_sound_plays:

and it works regardless of OS or PPT version.

Apparently the MCI Player will play the video on extended desktop, so
following the flow chart documented here is a good way to force it:

BTW,
downloading and installing the latest WMP and turning back graphics
acceleration also has a pretty good success ratio.
