Because you are using a web interface (CDO) as your newsgroup newsreader,
you assume incorrectly that posts always appear as they do on your monitor.
They don't.
Anyway, if you switch to OE as your newsgroup newsreader, you will find
navigating through threads to be ever so much easier.
