The person I am sending attachments to can not open

Can someone please help me with this - anytime I send a attachment along
with my email - I get a response saying either can i send in a different
format or the file is not decoded - or it is corrupt - I was told by the
person i got my computer from that it was my internet provider, I contacted
them and all was fne on thier end - I am still not able to send a
attachment - Mabey it is something I am doing wrong being that I am not used
to vista? I don't know - If someone can help it would be greatly
appreaciated.

What happens when you send that attachment to yourself?
Which program created that attachment?
What is the file extension for that attachment?
