Hi,

I'm having trouble getting on a website http://citroenpicasso.org.uk/ which
I know is active and friends I know are logging on to this site without any
problems.
There was no problem before updating to X/P SP2 I have also tried turning
off Norton Internet Security and Windows own Firewall has always been
switched off with Norton installed. I have also made sure as far as I can be
certain in every option including Internet Explorer is set to the default
settings as it was before to all no avail.!
Hear is the message below.

Thanks

Steve

I have spoken to my ISP since as I have not been able to gain access to this
site and they believe that it is an X/P Home SP2 fault as they tried it
using X/P Pro and Win 2000 with no problems Only X/P Home for some reason
can't load the page???

Thanks for your info, again you maybe right and a fault lies with the web
page! I wonder what operating system there using?

After installing SP2 did you go into the security center
(in control panel) and turn off microsofts firewall since
you already were using nortons firewall?

Even though the SP2 install see's you're using a third
party firewall it still enables the Microsoft firewall.

Chances are that one of the servers along the route to that URL may
be down.
You should know that it isn't simply a matter of typing in the URL or
clicking a link and then you go directly to that site. The route
taken can pass through literally dozens of servers and any one of
them can be having problems. Your friends likely aren't using the
same route so they don't have
any problems. I clicked your link and was connected and the page
loaded in under 3 seconds and I'm half way around the world from that
site. If you have
done all that is suggested on the page you posted than the problem is
as stated. "The Web site

adjust your

The webpage isn't running any operating system. The webpage is coded
in .html. The computer that hosts the webpage could be running
anything: Linux, Unix, BSD, possibly a Microsoft OS. It is irrelevant
to your problem. Try adding the site to your Trusted Sites list in IE's
Security. I didn't have any problem getting to the site, either, so it
has to be your settings. Are you running any sort of third-party popup
blocker? Anything that refuses Java? You'll have to examine all your
security settings carefully.
