Microsoft Internet Explorer has no problem accessing all web sites except
these three: amazon.com, ebay.com and paypal.com.

Can some process running in the background prevent access to these web sites
(one I don't know about).

Hi,

I'd check the HOSTS file under C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc (you can open
it in notepad). If any of those sites are listed there preceeded by the
local address (127.0.0.0), then you would want to delete the listing(s) and
then close the file saving changes.

try adding the web sites to the safe list, check your firewall
settingsmake sure you have the activeX (if required) for the web sites
and make sure they dot use things like flas or java if they do download
them.

I am having the same problem opening some web sites, just a few. They are not
listed in my hosts file. I can access them on another computer (at work) but
not on my computer at home. The all show "page cannot be display . . ." and
cannot connect to server. Yet I know it can be on another computer.
