Hi,

Does anyone know of a program that will go out on the
network and fill in all the appropiate devices in the OSI
model as it pertains to your network? Thanks

Can you please rephrase that so it is understandable ?

Thanx...
Dave

Hi David,

I want to know if there is a program that will scan the
network, and take the information from the scan and place
it in the appropiate level Of the OSI structure. For
example it will find switches and place those swithes with
there ip address in level 3(I'm guessing) of the OSI model.

Thanks
Sam

No, I have never heard of such an application.

OSI is a theorhetorical model that has yet to be evidenced in any real
networking enviroanment. Don't you find it just a little bit
contradictory and confusing?

What EXACTLY are you trying to accomplish and to what end? The OSI
structure does not esist in reailty. Please get that. Yes, there are
packet analyzers and network scanners galore out there. What do you
want? What are you trying to do? Please be specific.
