The Operation Failed error message when opening attached items

Exchange 2003 SP2/Outlook 2003 SP - error message The Operation Failed when I
try to open an attached item in an email. I can open the item once, but
subsequent attempts to open the item give me the error message. If I close
and reopen Outlook I can open the item the first time but not the second
time. Tried it with Cache mode and without. I can open the items without any
issues if I use OWA. This is a system wide issue that I have seen at several
of my clients.

I have the identical situation. If you come across a fix for this, could you
please let me know? Thanks.

I've posted about this before and never recieved a response. I think it's one
of those mysteries that can't be explained.
