The open report action was cancelled

i have just installed office 2003 on a new xp machine and
when i try and open some documents in access i recieve
the error, "The Open Report Action was Cancelled". Some
other documents don't recive a response at all, you click
to open them and nothing happens. If anyone could help I
would be extremely grateful.
 
I use a custom sub procedure to open any report. It has code to trap for
this error and suppress it. Have done this since the A97 days.
