I have a user that gets this error when she clicks on an email link on a web
page. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Outlook 2000 but had no luck.
Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Is it only in that one email or is this in all links that are in her
email?

What Internet browser does she use? Version?

This error message occurs on any website that has an email address embedded
in it. She is using IE 5.5 with 128bit encryption.

Thanks,

John

Have you checked her IE
Tools | Internet Options | Programs tab
Is Microsoft Outlook selected for Email?

Or in Windows Operating System:
Control Panel | Tools | Folder Options | File Types
Check the URL:MailTo Protocol
Set for Actions Open
Select the EDIT... button
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~1\OFFICE\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"
(or where her program path is)

Yes on both.

Each is how you listed in your previous post. I have a copy of Outlook 2002
and thought I'd give it a try. It worked, so I probably won't do anything
else to this PC.

Thanks again for the help,

John
