the new service pack

I got a message that said I should install the new service pack. Service pack
3 I think. Are then any problems with it? What will happen if I install it.

Although problems are possible with SP3, they are rare, and usually
come about because of a user error. I've installed it on several
machines and never had a problem. I strongly recommend that you
install it.

Apart from other replies , it can also take up to 1 - 1 1/2 hrs to
install . ( Mine took 3/4 of an hour )

Where or how did you get that message? MS does not send out messages.
