the network path was not found

I get this error on several of my 100 networked XP sp2 machines when I try to
connect to any share (even admin$ share) via UNC connection. I am also unable
to remotely manage those same machines from MMC in Active Directory. I have
tried everything I have been able to find on knowledge base or anywhere else
and am still unable to resolve. I am fairly new, any and all help will be
greatly appreciated.

Did you check DNS settings from the clients, that they only point to your
internal DNS server?

yes, I always leave the default for the machines to automatically obtain DNS.

Can you ping the server from the clients?

Please post an ipconfig /all from the DNS server and one client that has
the problems.

Not only can I ping the server from the clients I can connect to shares on
the server from the clients using UNC. Here is ipconfig from client machine:
