The missing Franc explained

In an earlier message I asked if anyone had noticed when the Franc (and
other ‘historical’ European currencies) disappeared from Excel. I had found
it missing on one PC but present on another – both with Excel 2002.

MS support has kindly given me the answer – the currencies available depend
not on the version of Excel but of the operating system (and languages
installed). These currencies are not in the English (US) version of Windows
XP.

But I think I am the only one who cares <g>

But now google has your explanation. So that may help lots (er, at least a few)
