The input line is too long

What is the dos prompt command line limit in Win2000 (I
believe that it is 128 characters in Win NT) ?
Does the command line processor use this space to store
the prompt string when processing the command ?
 
Command line limits:

Windows NT - 256 characters
Windows 2000 - 2046 characters
Windows XP - 8190 characters
