The glory that is Vista

I just had to reset my router so that one Vista wireless laptop could
reconnect to the network.
Three wireless XP units were connected to the network without problems.
Rebooting the Vista unit made no difference. Only recycling the router.
Glory be to Microsoft, which has unleashed Windows 7, which is not
compatible with Vista drivers, at least for my peripherals, as Vista was not
compatible with XP. MIcrosoft learneth not.
Microsoft laid off 5000 workers, but none of them were named Balmer, clown
prince heir to Gates.
Yahoo.
Bill Gates said he is adding $3 billion dollars to international charities
next year.
Microsoft will be exporting more jobs next year.
Vista works about as well as an Indian bureaucracy. Is it any wonder that
Microsoft is exporting American jobs to India?

Hi
I wonder if people that buy a new car complains that the Tires of the new
car are compatible with the previous car that they own ;).
As for Windows 7, I am sure that there would be drivers that are Not
compatible. Thus far (and I have really a complex system) all my Vista
stuff, drivers and applications works well with Win7.

I have also come across strange behavior with Vista networking. For the
most part I think Vista is OK and I like certain features (aero look,
sidebar gadgets, etc) but the networking part is messed up. Microsoft
attempted to make it easy to use with a deceptively-simple GUI, but in the
process made the networking configuration even more obfuscated and hard to
adjust.

I agree with bmoag! I had major difficulties in setting up a little network
with two PC, one desktop with XP SP3 and a Laptop with Vista.
The interesting thing was that SP3 does not include the Link-Layer Topology
Discovery Responder! Great MS! You still can work in the network but when
you check in Vista for the map, the Vista laptop is no longer connected to
the network in the map. MS has acknowledged that this is an issue but has
not yet done anything about it. What kind of corporate behavior is this? Ask
this Balmer guy, maybe he has an answer. Eventually, I found the solution
for the issue and it is reinstall LTDR. By the way, in the Event viewer I
always had the same error, and I used the error number to find the solution.

On word on the MVPs who give comments here. I have not seen one constructive
comment of an MVP here. They seem to sit somewhere in cloud cookoo home or
whatsoever. I would prefer that those MVPs who cannot or are not willing to
contribute to problem /issue solutions should shut up unless they can or are
willing to provide major solutions to presented problems/issues. For what
are they MVPs. I know some from other websites who are really good and are
able to provide solutions for MS caused problems/issues.
