It didn't disappear. It was replaced by a far-less functional dialog in the
Control Panel/Default Programs control with "associate a file type or
protocol.....".
Thanx for replying. I assumed this is due to new Windows upgrades/updates.
I actually wanted to fix the following problem that I posted before:
"Hello all,
Normally, when I clicked on a download link on a webpage, a window pops up
telling me the progress of the download by showing percentages. This
afternoon, when I clicked on the same download link, there's no window popped
up. I know it's downloading though because of the hour glass on the webpage
and the download icon on the bottom left corner of the webpage. I tried
download link from a different website, same thing happen. What's going on???
Where's my download window?? I want my "download window" back. How can I fix
it?
Thanx in advance
L & L"
I've got the reply and the probalem was fixed. Now the problem
re-appear...has it got anything with this new Windows 'upgrade'...boy, this
is a moving target...
I looked through the list under ""associate a file type or protocol with a
specific program", there is no ZIP file type, perhaps it explains my problem.
No file association, no pop-up download window...
There is only 'Change' button for file association, what about 'Add' button.
