The enumerator has become invalid - error message 80040203

I'm getting error # 80040203
When I try to play the video a box pops up after a few minutes saying "The
Enumerator Has Become Invalid".

I can see the first still shot of the video
but it will not play. It says its playing in the lower left corner but its
not. I can also move the scroll bar further through the video and it will
give me a
still shot of the spot I stop at which doesn't make any sense to me.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I am using version 10 of Media Player. My operating
system is windows xp proffessional version 2002, service pack 2.
I had downloaded a video clip, and when it tried to automatically play after
downloading, there was just a still from the clip on the screen, and nothing
happened. Whadda I do?
