the drawing toolbar buttons are not active

I am trying to draw a line and when i click on the line button the line
options appear faded and do not respond to a click.

The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.

I would suggest you post to the appropriate Word newsgroup if that is
