The disk in drive A is not formatted

Can you help me ???
I get this message when I try to acces my drive A floppy
disk: -The disk in drive A is not formatted-
I cannot read any off my old diskettes.
I tested many things and they all seem to be ok. I can
format and prepare a boot diskette from Westurn Digital
utility, and it works fine (I can reboot from that
diskette). I formatted the hard drive (c) NTFS
recently...
Thanks for your precious help!

Regards!

This is a known issue with XP. The simplest way to handle this is to 1)
format new floppies in your XP machine; 2) take the old floppies to an
older Win9x/ME computer and copy the data off them to that computer's
hard drive; 3) transfer that data to the floppies you formatted in the
XP box. Now your XP box should be able to read those floppies. Throw
the old ones out.

Cheers,

Malke
