I was told to eliminate some of the add-ins to speed up outlook. when i go to
unselect some, after i "run as admin" i get the following warning

"The connected state of office add-ins registered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
cannot be changed."

Open the registry editor from Start, Run, regedit. Navigate to
HKLM\Software\Office\Outlook\Addins and open the LoadBehavior value for each
registered addin in HKLM. Set LoadBehavior to 2. Do that with Outlook not
running. To re-enable with Outlook not running return the LoadBehavior value
to its previous value usually 3 (except for Outlook VBA which is 9).

Right click on the Outlook icon, then select Run as Administrator. Then go
through the process.

yeah that crashes outlook btw. but the first suggestion works. I'm trying
hard these days to keep my sarcastic comments about MS software to a minumum.
Oops just failed.
