The command "update" to apply a service pack

Question 1:
I saw some book which says I should type "update" When
I want to apply a service pack in the win2000 Pro's
computer.
However, the command 'update' is not a valid command at
all. So should I type 'update' or something else to apply
a service pack?

Question 2:
What should I do when I want to apply a service pack to
the computer with windows 2000 Pro?

Hi,

Answer 1:

If you've downloaded the network install file from
microsoft.com, just dubbleclick this file and follow the
on-screen instructions to install the servicepack.
You can, however, run the update.exe program, but you have
to unpack the servicepack file first, which automatically
happens if you dubbleclick the file you've downloaded from
M$.
